Murray McDavid Whisky Tasting 16th of May

Join us at the Lighthouse Museum on the 16th of May for what will sure to be an excellent eveing of insight whilst sampling some exquisite drams from the Murray McDavid range. Our host for the eveing will be Liam Stephen from Murray McDavid.

Founded in the mid 90’s, Murray McDavid as a company have done it all.  Initially the company was founded and undertook a direction in a piuoneering sense, finishing whiskies in a variety of fine wine casks.

The year 2000 saw the company purchase and ressurect Bruichladdich Distillery engaging the services of Jim McEwan, Islay’s most celebrated Master Distiller.

In 2012, spirits giant Remy Cointreau purchased Bruichladdich Distillery and Murray McDavid. Later, Murray McDavid was sold to its current owners, leading Scotch whisky broker, Aceo Ltd.

Today, the home of Murray McDavid is Coleburn Distillery in Speyside, where we continue the tradition of bottling artfully-matured Scotch whisky.

Furthermore, in 2024 Murray McDavid agreed to bring back to life the Dallas Dhu Distillery, owned by Historic Scotland in which the distillery is at present a museum.
