The rocky shores of Islay feel worlds away from Europe’s neat vineyards, yet this unlikely pairing delivers something special. Fragrant peat and oak fold into summer berries and spice, wrapped in a natural rosé hue. Powerful, expressive, and unapologetic, this dram pulls no punches.
Matured in first fill red wine barriques. Bottled at a powerful 55% ABV, bottled with minimal intervention, this Islay single malt delivers depth and texture on the palate. The red wine barrique maturation adds richness, fruitiness and oak spice without masking the distillery character, allowing Bunnahabhain’s peated spirit – often called Staoisha-
to remain front and centre (not that it would be easy to mask!).

Tasting Notes.
Nose: Sweet peat, pavlova, powdered
sugar, coastal air.
Palate: BIG PEAT, malt, pavlova, summer
berries, salt.
Finish: Long and lingering, with sweet
oak, smoke which mellows without
disappearing, berries and meringue.
