Ace of Speys – Aberlour 11yo – PX Spinola sherry

Brand new from Uncharted Whisk, Ace of Speys is an elegant and characterful Speyside single malt that showcases Aberlour’s rich spirit through an unconventional sherry lens.
Ace of Speys takes the elegant, fragrant Aberlour spirit, super charges it with super sherry casks and, bottled at a rock n roll 55% ABV.
Flavour drips out of every pore with this super Scotch.

There is a sherry house called Spinola and they kind of go their own way… They only grow Pedro Ximenez grapes, and in some instances make an Oloroso style sherry with them. It is not a super dark colour but the palate is elegant, sweet and balances the distillate with the wood influence- subtlety over saturation!

Tasting Notes.
Nose: Pear drops, dried mango,
pineapple, butterscotch, oak, and a little
dry note.
Palate: Baked apple, brown sugar, the
dried mangoes again, and pineapple
juice, and plenty of spice oak.
Finish: Tropical fruits give way to butter
scotch which gives way to woody spices
and warmth.
