Ardnamurchan AD/Rum Cask Release

This is Ardnamurchan’s first ever Rum Cask release!
A vibrant, fruity concoction formed by finishing peated and unpeated Ardnamurchan distillate for 2.5 years in Jamaican rum casks. The funky, fruity traits of rum mesh gloriously with the Ardnamurchan distillate’s salty, weighty characteristics.
Bottled at a strength of 55% ABV – a marriage made from 58% Unpeated and 42% Peated Spirit.
Non-chill filtered, and natural colour. Only 7,200 bottles produced worldwide.

Tasting Notes

Appearance
Autumn birch leaf, pale but vibrant.

Nose
Lemon Italian ice, overripe apricot, dusty hay, heavily salted cashew, vanilla extract, dried banana – fruit-forward but still earthy and rich.

Palate
Candied grapefruit, stracciatella ice cream, red cedar, Kaiserschmarrn, Nerds candy, guava, buttercream icing.

Finish
Spritzy and bright up front, medium-long finish.
