Decadent Drams “The Teuchter” Batch 4

A small batch Ben Nevis 10-year-old, created by marrying together two refill barrels of 2016 vintage Ben Nevis for just under a year in an old refill butt. The extra marrying time has helped knit everything together beautifully, giving the whisky a softer, broader and more easy-going profile while still keeping all that classic Ben Nevis character intact: waxy textures, bright fruits, cereal sweetness and that slightly old- school Highland charm we all seem hopelessly addicted to. Limited to 309 bottles.

Nose.

Elegantly leafy, mossy, waxy and mineral. Classical west highland weight and charm. Some stones, cooking oils, tree bark, lemon peel and herbal teas.

Palate.
Easy, waxy, oily, hints of hessian, lemon oil, camphor and putty. Textbook modern, refill matured Ben Nevis.

Finish.
Medium, hints of aniseed, bergamot, pepper and warm bread.
