“This weekend Chris and I compete in our first stage rally together. It’s almost 20 years since either of us competed in any Motorsport so we wanted to mark the occasion. Afterall a dusty old rally can in a shed is one of the reasons we first became friends!
The Speyside stages start in Elgin, so this Glen Elgin seemed like the perfect dram for the moment. Normally we’d be pretty nervous of 1st fill sherry and delicate Glen Elgin, but this is an Americal Oak sherry cask so it’s not as dry and spicy and the balance is really good.”

Braeburn Apple.

Nose.
Sweet cicely, coriander seed, bramble jelly.

Palate.
Jam roly poly, alpine strawberries, cola cubes.

Finish.
Sorrel, lemon zest, Jägermeister.
