Palate – fresh fig, candied peel, fine funky peat.

Finish – cinnamon, last night’s bonfire.

“This was supposed to be a hogshead, it wasn’t. We know it’s a barrique, but that is all. It’s a pleasant surprise though even for bottlers inherently wary of red wine casks!
Label is a random pattern as this was a random cask.
Why we picked it, love a bit of dirty dunnage whisky and this does the trick. We have an email, of an email, cc’d into another email that says we can probably make this distillery rather than make it a secret Orkney as well.”
