LBD Spirits Port Charlotte 2004

This 18yo Port Charlotte from 2004 – distilled at Bruichladdich distillery – is utterly divine liquid.
The cask was selected by Jim McEwan for the original owner who bought it to prove to himself he was going to beat cancer. That was 18 years ago and I’m happy to say the chap is alive and well. He sold the cask to LBD, despite being offered more from a broker, as he wanted the whisky to be in the hands of whisky drinkers!
