Notes from the Distillery:
Cask Strength Batch 3 is the third in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings. Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself.
Batch 3 of our annual Cask Strength release offers yet another bold and distinctive take on Lochlea. Our Master Blender has carefully selected a combination of Oloroso Sherry Butts (2/3) and Ex-Islay Peated Bourbon Barrels (1/3), creating a whisky that balances richness and depth with a surprising twist of smoke.

Non-chill filtered, natural colour, and cask strength.

NOSE
Rich and juicy, with lots of ripe red fruits, and a hint of smoky bacon

PALATE
Cherries, ripe berries, ginger cake, dark sugar, dark rye & BBQ smoke

FINISH
Long & rich, with baking spice, salty smoke, red roses & oaky tannins woven through
