BUNNAHABHAIN 2013 MÒINE BORDEAUX FINISH (FEIS ILE 2021)

Released as one of two bottlings for Fèis Ìle 2021 festival which sadly due to ciircumstances had to go virtual. Distilled in 2013, this Mòine (meaning peated) whisky has been matured for 8 years and finished in Bordeaux red wine casks. Bottled at cask strength with no added colour or chill filtration, one of 5166 bottles. A big upfront, bold and flavoursome whisky that will be sure to not disapoint.

Nose
Light toasted oak, red fruits leading to a sweet, dark fruit jam and a hint of dry smoke

Palate
Peat smoke, oak spice, dark grapes, cocoa and red chili, with a delicately balanced sweetness and acidity.

Finish
Long and sweet, with hints of red wine and over-ripened grapes.
