Dailuaine 13 year old Hepburns choice

Dailuaine is one of those whiskies that serves the blending world to a large degree. Built in originally in 1852 the distillery has seen its share of changes over the years, some due to upgrades and others due to fire damage twice. The current capacity of Dailuaine stands at a whopping 5.2 million litres with the majority of spirit made for blending purposes.

A single cask Dailuaine distilled in 2008, matured for 13 years in a sherry butt and bottled at 46% with no chill-filtration and no added colour. One of 856 bottles produced.

Expect notes of plum, cherries and sweet honey with a light spice and orange zest. In the mouth notes of oak, ginger spice, dried fruit and hints of chocolate.
