LBD Spirits Caol Ila 2014

Caol Ila 2014 10yo.Refill Oloroso Hogshead, basically just an absolutely cracking Caol Ila and sadly given the reduced availability of casks to IBs not likely to be repeated any time soon. As always bottled at natural colour with no chill filtration and limited to 306 bottles. Funky lobster label on the bottle.

Nose – At the risk of coming across a bit SMWS…. Taking a big deep huff of sea air, on the beach with a smoldering bonfire.
Palate – Lapsang souchong with lemon, bog myrtle, is there such a thing as smoked figs?
Finish – Elegant, long pepper
