Mac-Talla Oloroso Limited Edition

This heavily peated Islay single malt was entirely aged in Oloroso sherry butts from the south west of Spain. The result, big and bold flavours with robust notes of peat smoke, baking spices and almonds. The cask breakdown for Mac-Talla Oloroso is 75% matured in first fill sherry butts and 25% in re-fill sherry, all of which are 100% european oak casks.
All natural colour and non chill-filtered.

NOSE.
Peat smoke, phenols and spice.

PALATE.
Warm spice,rich dark fruits and a big dollop of peat. Brown sugar and baking spices reminiscent of Christmas with a peat fire burning in the background.
