The Hearach, the first ever single malt whisky produced on the Isle of Harris.

Our first historic whisky is woven from the hands of island people and the place we call home, intimately intertwining to produce a spirit of great complexity and character. This special connection between people and place continues to this day with every drop of The Hearach created by Isle of Harris hands here in the Outer Hebrides

Our mission for The Hearach was to create a dram of balanced complexity and character. We harness the contribution of the Harris elements to this end; gneiss rock, oak, copper, climate, peat, water, and time; with the human touch of our local distillers providing the final defining part.

The core expression uses Ex-Bourbon casks from Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill and Woodford Reserve as well as Ex-Oloroso and Ex-Fino butts from southern Spain which are married for a minimum of six weeks following maturation prior to bottling.

The Hearach will always be non-chill filtered and has no colour added.
