Thompson Bros Highland Single Malt 16 Year Old

This Highland single malt Scotch Whisky was matured for a minimum of 16 years, which included a secondary maturation of 6 years in Ex-Moscatel Casks.

It was bottled by Thompson Bros. of natural colour and no chill filtration.

Nose

Rich, thick orange peels, flamed blood orange peels cut with some white grapefruit. Honeycomb and hazelnut praline with floral noted to the back.

Palate

Orange cremes from a selection box of chocolates. Milk chocolate and caramel wafer, digestive biscuits with melted butter and more hazelnut.

Finish

A little cinnamon kick with the orange and honeycomb coming back. Some vanilla and citrus custard as the spice goes into some toasted oak.
