Thompson Bros Highland Single Malt 19 Year Old

This Highland single malt Scotch Whisky was matured  in 1st Fill Bourbon Barrels, for a minimum of 19 years. Only 504 bottles were ever produced.

It was bottled by Thompson Bros. of natural colour and no chill filtration, with a label that may give a hint to the hidden distillery.

Nose

Soft fruit and digestive biscuits. Peaches and pears all jumbled into a crumble with some cask aged vanilla goodness and a slight floral aside.

Palate

Cereal and grain to the forefront with some custard and apple. More soft orchard fruits, some light tannin that helps to give some structure.

Finish

Some prickly pear and a little savoury goodness. A slight vegetal note gives way to more cereal and biscuits.

44.5% ABV.
