LBD Spirits MCJB Jamaican Rum 2008

An interesting and complex rum, with a complicated history, which was initially distilled at 4 different Jamaican distilleries before being blended together into a single refill barrel in 2015.

Clarendon 2007 column and pot still
New Yarmouth 2005 pot still
Worthy Park 2008 pot still

The lads at LBD reckon this is “probably one of the best rums we’ve bottled, maybe even one of the best casks.”
Only 250 bottles were produced.

Star fruit, muscat grapes, caramelised bananas

Palate
Gooseberry fool, lime zest, thyme

Finish
pomegranate, sponge fingers and all spice.
